Better know as Squid around the farm and to all that have met him , is a dappled grey large pony stallion, standing right at 14.2hh. Squid is Heterozygous for grey but homozygous for black (no RED foals!!) . He is sired by Pajon’s Buccaneer, a Section B Welsh Pony imported from Pajon Ponies of Alberta, Canada . Buccaneer was shown successfully on the line.
Squids Dam is by Don Alfredo, a very well known and successful international level performance stallion.
Squid is a gorgeous, flat kneed mover with table top knees over fences. If you are looking for movement, looks , conformation and a good BRAIN… consider him as the sire of your next foal. He has proven himself , time and time again , on the line and under saddle!!
Some of Squids accomplishments:

At the National show, many, many ponies come to compete and Squid won ALL the performance classes he entered in. His owner/rider/trainer, My Daughter… also won her Equitation class out of 19 with him.

At the conclusion of the 2018 show season and with much thought, we decided to bring Squid to Cornell University to perform a closed Castration and freeze his semen for future use. My daughter always wanted to compete with Squid at Pony Finals, this would be her last year as a Jr so the opportunity would never again be available.
While competing at his first USEF A Rated show as a gelding, a mere 8 weeks after surgery, Squid won all his classes and qualified for Pony Finals 2019.
While The summer preparations for pony finals was a hit and miss due to Haylee’s pre-college classes and job, Pony Finals was a bit bumpy, but he got around and came home with a 12 place ribbon in model out of 76 horses, something to be proud of since pony finals brings the best of the best.
There are so many more championships, awards and shows to list to the above, but that would take way too much time. I only listed the year end awards which pretty much sum up his hard work.
Squid is now retired, living the good life , being a fat happy pony that Haylee hops on bareback and canters across the fields or takes a swim in the pond with, he’s truly a once in a lifetime pony and has earned his place in our home and especially in our hearts.
